Marshall's new on-ear headphones look like a guitar amp and feature ANC
New on-ear model introduces active noise cancellation and Find My support at $229

Marshall has released the Milton A.N.C., its most affordable on-ear headphones featuring active noise cancellation, priced at $229. The device marks a strategic expansion of the brand’s noise-cancelling portfolio into the compact headphone segment, a market space where viable on-ear options with advanced noise suppression remain relatively sparse. The headphones are available for immediate purchase.

The Milton A.N.C. is positioned $70 above the Marshall Major V, which offers over 100 hours of playtime but lacks active noise cancellation. This pricing strategy signals Marshall’s intent to capture value in the smaller headphone segment by combining traditional compact form factors with advanced noise management technology. The design retains the brand’s signature aesthetic, resembling a guitar amp, consistent with previous branding efforts.

Battery performance is rated at 50 hours with active noise cancellation enabled and 60 hours with it disabled. The device features a user-replaceable battery, a specification that distinguishes it from many competitors in the sector. While historical context suggests some models may offer up to 80 hours with noise cancellation disabled, the current specifications for the Milton A.N.C. are set at the 60-hour mark when ANC is off.

Audio specifications include 32mm dynamic drivers, transparency mode, and spatial audio integration. The headphones support LDAC high-res audio, allowing for higher quality wireless transmission. Marshall states these are the first headphones from the company to support Find My compatibility for both iOS and Android, addressing a common consumer need for device tracking.

The launch underscores a shift in Marshall’s product strategy to include active noise cancellation across more accessible price points. By integrating modern connectivity features and extendable battery life into a compact form factor, the Milton A.N.C. aims to compete in a growing segment of the consumer electronics market.
