Lowe’s Unveils Tiered Renovation Discounts and Enhanced Loyalty Structures
New promotional framework includes specific spend thresholds for major renovations, upgraded military benefits, and a strict Lowest Price Guarantee, as reported by WIRED.

Lowe’s has expanded its promotional offerings with a structured approach to high-value home improvement projects, according to a report by WIRED. The retailer is introducing tiered savings for kitchen and bathroom renovations, which are typically the most expensive projects for homeowners. Customers spending between $750 and $1,999 will receive 10% off, while those spending $2,000 to $4,999 will see a 20% reduction. For projects exceeding $5,000, Lowe’s is offering a 30% discount, a move designed to capture significant share in the costly remodel sector.
Beyond renovation-specific discounts, the company is reinforcing its MyLowe’s Rewards Program, which segments members into Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers based on annual spend. Bronze members, spending between $0 and $499, earn one point per dollar with a $35 minimum for free shipping. Silver status, achieved with $500 to $1,999 in annual purchases, unlocks free shipping and 1.25 points per dollar. Gold tier members, spending $2,000 or more, receive the highest accrual rate of 1.5 points per dollar alongside free shipping on all orders.
For professional contractors, Lowe’s maintains a separate MyLowe’s Pro Rewards Program. This structure allows members to earn in-store credit in $1 increments for every 100 points accumulated. The program offers volume discounts, analytics tools, and free standard shipping within the contiguous United States. Notably, points under this scheme expire on a half-yearly basis, specifically on June 30 and December 31, creating a distinct cycle for professional inventory management.
The retailer is also adjusting incentives for military personnel and new digital subscribers. Verified active military members, veterans, and spouses receive a 10% discount on full-price items through the Everyday Military Discount program. Enrollment via ID.me validation grants an immediate upgrade to Silver status on the MyLowe’s Rewards Program. Additionally, new subscribers to the text message alert service receive a one-time coupon for $5 off a $50 purchase, valid for both in-store and online transactions.
Financial protections and credit incentives remain central to Lowe’s strategy. The company reaffirms its Lowest Price Guarantee, which matches competitor prices including shipping costs for identical items. The MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card offers a 5% discount on qualified purchases after other discounts are applied, though it excludes specific brands such as Weber, Miele, and Kichler, and cannot be combined with contractor or military discounts. These measures underscore Lowe’s effort to balance volume growth with customer retention across both DIY and professional segments.
