Logitech’s new Mobi Fold squeezes a lot of functionality into a tiny folding mouse
New device folds in half for portability while retaining advanced sensor and connectivity features

Logitech has officially announced the Mobi Fold, a compact travel mouse designed for portability through a unique clamshell folding mechanism. Priced at US$79.99, the device is available in graphite, off-white, lilac, and sand colour options. The launch follows leaked marketing images that appeared online last month, confirming the design and specifications of the new peripheral.

The mouse utilises a hinge that pivots approximately 130 degrees, reducing its height to just over three-quarters of an inch when folded. Logitech states the hinge has been tested to withstand 15 years of daily use. More than half of the mouse is wrapped in a silicone skin with a pleated design over the hinge to prevent pinching when the device is closed. At 79 grams, the Mobi Fold is slightly heavier than Logitech’s Pebble Mouse 2 and M196 models.

Under the hood, the device features a 4K DPI optical sensor, left and right buttons, and a multifunction touch panel situated between them. The touch panel can be customised via Logi Options Plus software to control scrolling speed or function as forward and back buttons. A single button on the underside allows the user to connect and cycle between up to three devices via Bluetooth.

Power is managed by a rechargeable battery that offers up to one month of use on a full charge, or 22 hours from a one-minute quick charge. The underside features a removable battery cover, a design choice attributed to recent EU regulations requiring repairability. The device turns off by folding it in half, and buttons are disabled when the mouse is lifted to prevent accidental presses.

While the design shares some similarities with the Microsoft Surface Arc, the Mobi Fold retains a clamshell shape rather than folding completely flat. The launch marks a global release for the device, positioning it as a compact alternative to laptop trackpads for users prioritising portability.
