Isaiah Likely and Dalton Kincaid have moved into starting consideration for Week 2 after prominent performances at tight end in the opening round, according to CBS Sports.

Likely led all tight ends in Week 1 fantasy points after catching all eight of his targets for two touchdowns. He also ran routes on 67 per cent of Jaxson Dart’s drop-backs and recorded a 27.6 per cent target share.

CBS Sports ranks Likely among its top six tight ends for Week 2, ahead of Harold Fannin Jr and Kyle Pitts. The ranking reflects preseason expectations that he could benefit from reduced competition after Mark Andrews’ departure from the immediate picture, as well as previous flashes when Andrews was unavailable.

Kincaid finished among the top five tight ends in Week 1, registering a 72 per cent snap share and a 21 per cent target share. His reported 5.91 yards per route run came against Houston, which CBS Sports described as a strong defence against tight ends.

Kincaid is ranked No. 10 for Week 2 and faces Detroit in a game CBS Sports says has the highest over-under of the week. The publication recommends starting him ahead of Pitts and Fannin, while noting that both players’ rankings are evaluations rather than guarantees of future production.
