Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been arrested and booked into the Brown County Jail following an alleged domestic incident on 23 May. Jacobs turned himself in to the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department and now faces five charges, including domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation, and intimidation.

Jacobs’ legal team has issued a statement asserting that he vehemently denies the allegations. The arrest has immediately placed Jacobs’ future with the franchise in jeopardy and created a potential vacancy at the running back position.

The report suggests the Steelers may view this development as an opportunity to acquire talent from Green Bay, with second-year running back Kaleb Johnson identified as a primary option due to his fit within the Packers’ scheme.

Alternatively, the report notes that if Packers head coach Mike McCarthy decides to retain Johnson, the Steelers could look to trade for their own running back, Jaylen Warren.
