Leaked renders suggest Google Pixel Watch 5 price hike and new gold finishes
Newly circulated images from The Tide Chart and OnLeaks detail the design and alleged pricing of the Pixel Watch 5 ahead of Google’s 12 August launch event.
Leaked press renders obtained by The Tide Chart from OnLeaks have provided the first detailed look at the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 5, revealing four distinct case finishes and suggesting a potential increase in retail pricing. The images, which appear to show the device in its final form, depict the smartwatch in Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, Warm Gold, and Pyrite.
The leaked visuals indicate that the design language remains largely consistent with previous generations, retaining the signature round watch face, domed display, and side crown. However, the colour palette has been expanded. The renders pair Dark Anthracite with a black band, Natural Silver with a light blue band, Warm Gold with a coral band, and Pyrite with a green band. Notably, the Warm Gold finish appears to be exclusive to the smaller 41mm variant, with no evidence of this option on the larger 45mm model in the leaked imagery.
Market speculation points to a rise in the device’s cost. Rumours circulating ahead of the launch suggest the base 41mm model could see its price increase from $349 to $399. Similarly, the larger 45mm model is expected to rise from $399 to $429. These figures remain unverified, but they align with broader trends in the wearable technology sector where premium materials and updated features often drive price adjustments.
The colour options shown in the leaks mirror early Amazon listings for the Pixel 11, spotted by 9to5Google, which displayed a similar palette. Those listings also hinted at additional colours such as hot pink, pastel purple, and vibrant green, although the availability of these specific shades for the Pixel Watch 5 has not been confirmed. The consistency between the watch leaks and phone listings suggests a coordinated design strategy across Google’s upcoming hardware lineup.
Google is scheduled to officially announce its latest Pixel devices on 12 August. Until then, the authenticity of the leaked renders and the proposed price points remain subject to confirmation. Investors and consumers will be watching the launch event closely to see if the design refinements and pricing strategies match the expectations set by these pre-release images.
