Kreston Global adds Nepal’s SAR Associates to network
The accounting network's latest move strengthens its regional presence and aligns with new integrated legal and tax offerings.

Kreston Global has broadened its international network by admitting SAR Associates, a Kathmandu-based chartered accountancy practice, as its newest member. The addition marks a strategic step for the global operator to enhance its presence in South Asia, enabling the firm to better support clients with operations and interests in Nepal as well as across the wider region.

SAR Associates, which was founded in 2002, provides audit, tax and advisory services to a diverse range of sectors including banking and financial services, hydropower, infrastructure, international development, manufacturing and public sector organisations. Sunir Kumar Dhungel, managing partner of SAR Associates, stated that the membership allows the firm to serve clients with international ambitions while accessing global expertise, knowledge sharing, resources and opportunities.

Kreston Global chief executive Liza Robbins welcomed the firm, citing its high-calibre status, strong technical expertise and growth trajectory as key factors aligning with the network's values. She noted that having such a firm in Nepal is an important step for the network, which currently comprises more than 155 operators across 800-plus offices in over 110 countries worldwide.

The integration of SAR Associates coincides with the recent launch of Kreston Global's Global Legal Group, which was introduced to coordinate legal services alongside the Global Tax Group. This new structure is designed to offer integrated solutions for cross-border projects, with the legal group expected to operate in tandem with the tax unit led by Global Tax head Mark Taylor to streamline support for clients operating in multiple jurisdictions.

While the announcement highlights the strategic alignment of the two entities, specific details regarding the timeline for full operational integration beyond the announcement date are not provided. Similarly, the source material does not offer immediate data on the impact of this expansion on Kreston Global's revenue or market share in South Asia.

The information regarding this network expansion is presented for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. Stakeholders are advised to obtain specialist advice before taking any action based on this content.
