The injury diagnosis emerged following Game 2, where Anunoby exited the court gingerly after a dunk attempt and subsequently signaled to the bench that he needed to leave after a Mikal Bridges jumper. He had previously contributed 24 points, five rebounds, four steals, and a block in 37 minutes as the Knicks secured a 108-102 victory to take a 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
