Katie Taylor set for planned retirement bout against Flora Pili in Dublin

Katie Taylor is scheduled to defend her unified junior-welterweight titles against unbeaten French fighter Flora Pili at Dublin’s Croke Park on Saturday in a bout presented as the Irish champion’s planned retirement fight.

Taylor and Pili have reportedly made the 140-pound limit ahead of the contest. More than 80,000 spectators are expected to attend, although the event and attendance figure remain scheduled or forecast rather than confirmed as having occurred.

Taylor enters with a listed professional record of 25-1, including six knockouts. The Olympic gold medallist is also a former undisputed lightweight champion and previously fought Chantelle Cameron twice in Ireland in 2023.

She has since recorded two further victories over Amanda Serrano. Pili, who is listed at 12-0 with two knockouts, will challenge Taylor for the unified junior-welterweight titles.
