The Kansas Jayhawks baseball team has hosted the Oklahoma Sooners for a best-of-three NCAA Baseball Super Regional series at Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence, Kansas. The matchup represents a significant milestone for the university, marking its first-ever appearance in a Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament.
Kansas secured its place in this stage of the competition by sweeping the Lawrence Regional. The team advanced through the bracket with a decisive victory over Northeastern in the opening game, followed by back-to-back wins against Arkansas to close out the regional round.
The first game of the series is scheduled for Saturday night, with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. ET. Coverage of the series will be broadcast on ESPN2, providing national visibility for the historic tournament leg.
