Vegas shuts out Presidents’ Trophy champions in Game Four

The Vegas Golden Knights have advanced to the Stanley Cup Final after defeating the Colorado Avalanche 2-0 in Game Four of the NHL Western Conference Finals. The victory, secured at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, completed a series sweep of the league’s top seed and Presidents’ Trophy champions.

Mark Stone scored a goal for the Golden Knights during the match. Following the final whistle, the team posed with the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl, the trophy awarded to the Western Conference champions. The win marks the third time in franchise history that Vegas has reached the Stanley Cup Final.

The Sporting Tribune’s DJ Cabanlong captured images of the event, which featured several key on-ice moments. Brayden McNabb and Shea Theodore were seen celebrating with Stone after his goal. Pavel Dorofeyev skated past defenders and later clapped to the crowd, while Dylan Coghlan checked Colorado forward Nathan MacKinnon.

In other action, Gabriel Landeskog and Mitch Marner battled for a loose puck during the contest. Landeskog also embraced Golden Knights centre Tomas Hertl at the handshake line following the match. Marner was observed sighing in relief after the game concluded.

The elimination ends the playoff campaign for the Avalanche, who entered the series as the league’s top seed. The Golden Knights’ series victory ensures their place in the championship round, where they will face the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals.
