Gig Harbor beat Lincoln 31–28 on 2 October in a Week 5 South Sound high school football game, with Caleb Kalafatich’s late 28-yard field goal breaking a 28–28 tie.

The Yahoo Sports report said Gig Harbor led for much of the game. Quarterback Sawyer Hayes scored twice on one-yard runs, and Max Schwab added a seven-yard touchdown run as the Tides built a 28–14 lead.

Lincoln mounted a late rally. Sione Kaho threw touchdown passes to Shyne Pastores and Aamir Foy, then JT Williams ran in a two-point conversion to level the score.

After Kalafatich’s kick put Gig Harbor ahead, a long kickoff return gave Lincoln another opportunity. Its final pass was batted down, ending the threat.

The win followed Gig Harbor’s victory over Bellarmine after a Week 3 loss to rival Peninsula, according to the report.
