Giants Reinforce Roster with Beckham and Berrios Amid Injury Crisis
New York Giants sign Odell Beckham Jr. and Braxton Berrios to bolster receiving corps following injuries to Gunner Olszewski, Malik Nabers, and Darius Slayton.

The New York Giants have signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Braxton Berrios to bolster their receiving corps, the team announced on Monday. The moves are designed to address immediate depth issues within the roster, coming just days after wide receiver and kick returner Gunner Olszewski tore his Achilles during Organized Team Activities practice.
Beckham, 33, returns to the franchise that drafted him 12th overall in 2014, reuniting with head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh previously coached Beckham during the 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens, where Beckham recorded 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns. The Giants were described as deliberate in the process of signing the free agent, citing the existing relationship between the coach and the player.
The return marks a significant shift in Beckham’s role compared to his initial tenure with the Giants, where he was a perennial Pro Bowler and posted three consecutive seasons of 1,300 or more receiving yards. His recent career trajectory has been marked by limited play, appearing in only nine games over the past two seasons, including a stint with the Miami Dolphins where he logged nine catches for 55 yards.
Beckham’s path back to the roster also follows a six-game suspension in 2025 for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. He went unsigned for the remainder of that season before securing this new contract. The specific financial terms of the agreements for both Beckham and Berrios have not been disclosed.
Berrios was signed to a one-year deal, a move confirmed by his agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The signings provide critical support as other key wide receivers remain sidelined. Malik Nabers is recovering from a knee injury, while Darius Slayton is rehabilitating a core muscle issue, leaving the team with a depleted receiving group ahead of the upcoming season.
