Social media statements from key roster members follow quarterback’s appearance at New York campaign rally

New York Giants players have publicly dismissed allegations of a locker room rift following quarterback Jaxson Dart’s introduction of President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in New York. The incident occurred at Rockland Community College in Suffern, where Dart appeared as part of an event supporting the reelection campaign of US Congressman Mike Lawler.

Dart, a second-year starter, led the crowd in a "Go Big Blue" chant before introducing Trump as the "45th and 47th president of the United State of America." The appearance prompted immediate speculation regarding team cohesion, particularly given the political nature of the event and Dart’s role as a foundational piece of the franchise.

Linebacker Abdul Carter, the Giants’ third overall pick, was among the first to address the rumours on social media. After initially posting on X that he thought the news was AI-generated, Carter later clarified his position, stating, "Me and JD6 are good! We spoke earlier as Men," and urging critics to disregard the narratives.

Wide receiver Darius Slayton also used social media to defend Dart against false claims that the quarterback had made racist comments. Offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor responded directly to a Boston-area reporter who suggested that Dart’s political involvement was causing division within the team.

"Locker Room is fine," Eluemunor wrote on X, adding that the team’s focus remains on the upcoming game against New England. The Giants had just concluded their first three voluntary organised team activity (OTA) workouts on Thursday and are currently in Phase 3 of their offseason program.

Dart and Carter were both selected in the first round last year and are considered key components of the team’s future. Dart, who went 4-8 as a rookie starter with 15 passing touchdowns and nine rushing touchdowns, recently accepted the invitation to speak at the rally. The event took place approximately 35 miles northwest of New York City.

The swift response from multiple players underscores the team’s effort to maintain unity as they proceed through the final stages of their offseason preparations.
