Florida State Softball Secures 20th ACC Title as Four Players Earn All-Tournament Honours

Florida State University has secured its 20th ACC Championship, defeating the No. 3-seeded Virginia Tech Hokies 2-1 in the conference final. The victory cements the Seminoles' status as the premier softball programme in the conference and triggers the announcement of the All-ACC Tournament Team.
Following the decisive match, four Florida State players were recognised for their outstanding contributions during the tournament. Pitcher Jazzy Francik, Jaysoni Beachum, Ashtyn Danley, and Isa Torres comprise the selection, marking the first time a single team has received four individual honours at the event. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by Virginia Tech, which secured three selections.
Francik's performance was the catalyst for the team's success, earning her the tournament Most Valuable Player award. The pitcher recorded an exceptional ERA of 0.77 while pitching 11.2 innings, allowing only one earned run. Her dominance on the mound was further highlighted by holding opponents to a .154 batting average throughout the competition.
The accolades for Beachum, Danley, and Torres build upon a season of consistent excellence, with each player having previously received ACC Player of the Week recognition. Their inclusion on the All-ACC Team underscores a collective depth that has defined the Seminoles' campaign, distinguishing them from the rest of the conference field.
With the conference title secured, Florida State has locked in a top 16 seed for the upcoming NCAA Softball Tournament. The programme now awaits the national Selection Show, which is scheduled to air on ESPN2, to determine if the team can advance to a top eight seed.
