Indiana’s Caitlin Clark records 45 points and 10 assists in 29 minutes to defeat Seattle Storm

The Indiana Fever secured a critical victory against the Seattle Storm on Friday night, defeating the visitors 110-107 in Indianapolis. The win improved the Fever’s record to 15-10, placing them in sixth position and just one and a half games behind the Dallas Wings for a top-four playoff seed. The result was driven by a historic individual performance from guard Caitlin Clark, who recorded a career-high 45 points and 10 assists in just 29 minutes of play.

Clark’s output marked the first 40-point, 10-assist game in WNBA history. By combining her 45 points with 19 points created through her 10 assists, she set a new league record for total points accounted for in a single game. Her 45 points also stand as the highest scoring total by any player in fewer than 30 minutes of action. Additionally, the performance set a new franchise scoring record for the Indiana Fever.

The victory ended a recent scoring slump for Clark, who had averaged 11.3 points in the three games preceding the match. Her efficiency was notable, shooting 11 of 18 from the field, 6 of 10 from three-point range, and 17 of 19 from the free-throw line. The win occurred despite the absence of star teammate Aliyah Boston, who was sidelined due to a leg injury.

Clark’s impact extended beyond scoring, as she recorded four steals and two blocks, both season-highs for the player. A crucial defensive sequence occurred with less than a minute remaining; Clark sprinted back to strip Seattle’s Flau'jae Johnson on a fast break, pushing the ball out of bounds to preserve the tie. On the ensuing possession, Clark hit a go-ahead step-back three-pointer from 26 feet to give Indiana a 105-102 lead.

The performance also saw Clark reach 200 career three-pointers in just 74 games, making her the fastest player in WNBA history to reach the milestone. Her 45 points tied A’ja Wilson for the second-highest scoring game of the 2026 season. The Fever now face the Phoenix Mercury next, aiming to convert their improved standing into a top-four seed.
