Ferrari unveils Luce, a €550,000 electric grand tourer designed by Jony Ive’s LoveFrom
Powered by 1,035 horsepower and featuring a four-door SUV-style body, the Luce represents Ferrari’s most expensive model to date, with production slated for late 2026.

Ferrari has officially unveiled the Luce, its first fully designed electric vehicle, developed in collaboration with LoveFrom, the design house founded by Jony Ive. The luxury EV features a four-door, five-seat body with an SUV-like profile and suicide doors, marking a significant departure from the manufacturer’s traditional two-door sports car lineage. The exterior styling is the first full car design from LoveFrom, while the interior was co-created by Ive and Marc Newson. Priced at €550,000 in Italy, the Luce is Ferrari’s most expensive model, surpassing the Purosangue SUV.
Under the skin, the vehicle is powered by four electric motors delivering 1,035 horsepower and a 122-kWh battery pack. Ferrari claims a WLTP range of 329 miles and a top speed of 193 mph. The powertrain utilises a skateboard-style battery layout and charges at a maximum rate of 350 kW. To manage the substantial power output, the Luce employs a Vehicle Control Unit that samples road surface and motor output every five milliseconds, adjusting power and suspension in real time.
The chassis features advanced active suspension with electrically actuated dampers that can dynamically adjust ride height, lowering the vehicle by 10 mm at high speeds. Four-wheel steering is included to enhance agility and stability, while individual motor control allows for precise torque vectoring. This setup aims to improve cornering dynamics and traction, particularly in low-grip conditions, leveraging the instant torque delivery inherent to electric propulsion.
Inside, the cabin retains a high density of physical knobs and dials, a design choice that Ive and Newson integrated directly into the vehicle rather than displaying them separately. Ferrari Chief Marketing Officer Enrico Galliera stated that the goal of the Luce is to "enlarge our Ferrari community" and diversify the brand’s clientele. The vehicle includes rear-seat controls and an acoustic system that samples vibrations from the rear motors to produce a distinctive sound, rather than relying on fully synthesized audio.
Production of the Luce is scheduled to begin in late 2026, with customer deliveries expected in early 2027. Ferrari has not yet set pricing for the United States market. The vehicle represents a complete reboot of the brand’s aesthetic and propulsion strategy, aiming to maintain the company’s performance heritage while appealing to a broader segment of luxury buyers.
