Falcons Lock In London in $141 Million Extension
The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a four-year, $141 million contract extension with wide receiver Drake London, securing the team’s top pass-catcher through the 2030 season.

The Atlanta Falcons have formally agreed to a four-year, $141 million contract extension with wide receiver Drake London, a move that establishes him as one of the highest-paid players in franchise history. The agreement, which includes $100 million in guaranteed money, keeps London under contract with the team through the 2030 season. The deal was confirmed by London’s agent, Andrew Kessler, speaking to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
With an average annual value of $35.25 million, the extension positions London as the third-highest-paid wide receiver in the National Football League. He trails only Seattle Seahawks’ Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who commands $42.15 million annually, and Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase, at $40.25 million. London retains the potential to earn up to $150 million if he meets specific performance incentives outlined within the contract structure.
This agreement marks the first major contract signed by the Falcons’ new front office, led by general manager Ian Cunningham and president of football Matt Ryan. The extension supersedes the $16.82 million fifth-year option on London’s rookie contract, which was originally set to cover the 2026 season. London, selected eighth overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, has recorded 309 receptions for 3,961 yards and 22 touchdowns over his first four seasons.
The 24-year-old receiver delivered a productive 2024 campaign, tallying 100 catches for 1,271 yards and nine touchdowns despite periods of inconsistent quarterback play. This follows a 2023 season where injuries limited him to 12 games, resulting in 68 catches for 919 yards and seven touchdowns. The new deal provides long-term stability for the franchise’s primary offensive weapon.
Looking ahead, the Falcons are expected to prioritise extending other core offensive players. Running back Bijan Robinson, whose fifth-year option for the 2027 season was picked up in April, is anticipated to receive a long-term extension. Additionally, the team faces a deadline regarding tight end Kyle Pitts, who is currently playing under the franchise tag. Pitts must be signed to an extension by 15 July 2025, or he will play the season on his franchise tender.
