Eagles Injury Report: Andrew Mukuba misses practice
NFL Injury Report

The Philadelphia Eagles released their second official injury report of the week on Thursday, providing an updated look at their defensive availability ahead of the Week 2 fixture against the Tennessee Titans. The report highlights a new concern for the Eagles, with safety Andrew Mukuba listed as not participating due to a knee issue.

Mukuba, who was seen in the locker room wearing a sleeve on his left leg, is a new addition to the injury list. According to The Inquirer’s Jeff McLane, Mukuba indicated he is feeling good, though an injury sustained during the week is rarely ideal. The team will monitor his status to determine if he can participate in practice on Friday.

Should Mukuba be unable to play, the Eagles may look to Michael Carter II to start at safety alongside Marcus Epps. Currently, these two are the only healthy safeties on the active roster, with rookies Cole Wisniewski and Maximus Pulley remaining on the practice squad.

Three other players were listed with limited participation: defensive tackle Jalen Carter, cornerback Cooper DeJean, and edge Jonathan Greenard. Carter, who missed practice on Wednesday, was observed wearing a covering on his right wrist. He stated that he intends to play on Sunday while wearing a cast, although the extent of the injury’s impact on his effectiveness remains to be seen.

DeJean, who also missed Wednesday’s session, appeared optimistic about his chances of playing when speaking earlier in the week. Greenard described himself as “super close” to returning, but indicated that if he remains limited on Friday, he will likely sit out Sunday, with Week 3 serving as a more realistic target for his return.

In contrast, the Tennessee Titans appear to have a relatively healthy roster. Their Thursday injury report is identical to the previous day’s version, listing linebacker James Williams as a limited participant due to an elbow issue, while linebacker Cedric Gray is listed as a full participant following a concussion.
