Inside Dreame’s wild launch event — packed with products no one can buy
From practical cleaning appliances to rocket-powered hypercars, the Chinese manufacturer presents a wide array of concepts and ready-to-buy goods.

Dreame, a Chinese manufacturer known for its robot vacuums, hosted a four-day showcase titled Dreame Next 2026 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco from 27 to 30 April. The event attracted hundreds of influencers, media personnel, and celebrities, including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. While the company unveiled practical products such as the L60 robot vacuum series, Aero wet-dry vacuums, and new haircare stylists, the majority of the presentation focused on concept gadgets and vaporware lacking firm release dates or pricing.

The practical offerings included new entries in the lower-priced L60 robot vacuum series, which feature up to 35,000 Pa suction and hot-water mopping capabilities. These units are reportedly available for purchase now. Additionally, the company launched new haircare products, including the AirStyle Pro HI 8-in-one styling system and the Aero Straight Pro styler. These devices reportedly connect to an app to adjust heat and airflow based on individual hair profiles.

However, the spectacle of the event leaned heavily towards ambitious concepts. Highlights included the Aurora modular smartphone line, specifically the Aurora Nex LS1, which allows users to attach modules such as a 115mm-equivalent telephoto lens, an action camera, a fan, a satellite communications module, and a Smart Agent Module. Despite the innovative design, no launch date or pricing was announced for these devices.

Perhaps the most striking concept was the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition, a rocket-powered hypercar designed to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 0.9 seconds. The company also displayed the Z1 Embodied AI Laundry Robot, which features a multi-joint robotic arm designed to autonomously sort, wash, and dry clothing. Further demonstrations included the Apex concept robot lawnmower and the INNIX Aura R8000F TV, which features robotic arms that extend and rotate exterior speakers using AI to adapt sound to the listener's location.

New smart ring concepts were also displayed, including the Dreame Glow Ring for monitoring heart rate and blood oxygen, and an NFC ring acting as a digital key. The company claimed these would feature luxurious finishes involving 18K gold, platinum, and gemstones. Yet, as with the other concept gadgets, there were no detailed specs, pricing, or release dates announced for these items.

Ultimately, the Dreame Next 2026 event offered a glimpse of the company's grand plans spanning from hypercars to humanoids, though much of the hardware remains theoretical. The showcase served as a platform to pitch an AI-wrapped future that extends far beyond floor cleaning, even as the company secured immediate interest in its existing appliance and personal care lines.
