The Arizona Diamondbacks are scheduled to visit the Houston Astros at Daikin Park in Houston on 5 September 2026, with the game set for 7:15 p.m. ET.

Fox Sports reports Houston enters the match-up with a 73–69 record, while Arizona is 74–68. Ethan Pecko is listed to start for the Astros and Brandon Pfaadt for the Diamondbacks, although both remain pre-match designations.

Yordan Alvarez is the key offensive figure highlighted for Houston. Fox Sports reports that he leads the Astros with 37 home runs, a .317 batting average and 94 RBIs.

Arizona’s leading batting average belongs to Gabriel Moreno at .299, while he is tied for the team lead with 68 RBIs. Corbin Carroll is also expected to play after lower-back discomfort, with Fox Sports reporting 21 stolen bases, 19 home runs and 61 RBIs.
