Ousmane Dembele praises ‘excellent’ Arsenal ahead of UCL final
Paris Saint-Germain forward dismisses injury concerns as he faces former club in European showpiece

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has publicly commended Arsenal as an "excellent team" ahead of their UEFA Champions League final clash. The PSG star acknowledged the English club’s recent Premier League title victory and their strong performance in the group stages, stating they deserved their place in the final.

Dembele credited Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, describing him as an "exceptional coach" who has been working on the project for "four or five years." He noted that Arsenal "deserved to be in the final" and "deserved to win the Premier League," citing their dominance in the domestic league and their European campaign.

The match marks PSG’s third Champions League final in the last six years; they won the previous edition by defeating Inter Milan 5-0. Arsenal are appearing in their first Champions League final in 20 years, having last reached the final in 2006 where they lost 2-1 to Barcelona.

Dembele confirmed he is fully fit and available for selection, dismissing concerns regarding an injury sustained during PSG's final league match against Paris FC. He was forced off in the 27th minute of that game but had 10-15 days to recover and get into shape for the final.

"We’re in it to win it and if we want to be great players, we need to win these trophies time and time again," Dembele said. He expressed confidence in the squad, noting that despite the high, the team remains calm and focused on winning the trophy.
