Oregon quarterback Dante Moore took part in Monday’s practice ahead of Saturday’s game against UCLA, coach Dan Lanning said. Moore wore shoulder pads and a helmet, but his participation does not confirm he has completed concussion protocol or been cleared to play.

Moore has been in protocol since a high hit in Oregon’s 26 September game against USC. He was stretchered off the field, and USC linebacker Desman Stephens II was suspended over the play.

Lanning said the team would act in Moore’s best interests and pointed to the Big Ten availability report for further information. The first report is due Wednesday night.

Oregon is scheduled to face UCLA in Eugene on Saturday. If Moore is unavailable, backup Dylan Raiola could start after completing 76 per cent of his passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns in relief against USC.
