Dak Prescott has emerged as the leading choice in the First Things First panel’s predictions for the 2026 NFL Most Valuable Player award, with three of the programme’s five panellists backing the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.
Chris Broussard, Greg Jennings and Kevin Wildes each selected Prescott. Nick Wright chose Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, while Danny Parkins picked Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
The selections, reported by Fox Sports, are predictions rather than an official award result. The 2026 NFL MVP had not been decided at the time of the programme’s discussion.
Prescott’s case was linked to his 2025 regular-season production, when he was cited as recording 4,552 passing yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The Cowboys finished 7-9-1 and second in the NFC East during Brian Schottenheimer’s first season as head coach.
