Crusoe reportedly raises $3 billion at $30 billion valuation
The data centre developer, which counts Meta and Microsoft among its clients, has secured fresh capital from Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners.

Data centre developer Crusoe has reportedly raised a new $3 billion funding round at a valuation of $30 billion, according to Bloomberg. The investment round is being co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners, with participation from Mubadala Capital, the asset management subsidiary of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund.
The fresh capital injection follows a significant commercial win for the company. Crusoe recently signed a reported $13 billion, five-year cloud contract to supply quantitative trading firm Jane Street with GPUs and AI infrastructure. This deal underscores the growing demand for specialised hardware in the artificial intelligence sector.
Crusoe’s client roster includes major technology players such as Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Oracle. The company is best known for developing hyperscale data centre campuses that support these large-scale operations. The current valuation represents a substantial increase from the $10 billion valuation at which Crusoe raised $1.38 billion just 10 months ago in October 2025.
The company’s trajectory has shifted significantly since its inception. Launched in 2018 as a crypto mining operation powered by flared natural gas, Crusoe has pivoted into a major AI infrastructure and cloud provider. This transition has positioned it as a key player in the physical infrastructure required for modern computing needs.
Looking ahead, Crusoe is exploring a potential near-term initial public offering. According to Axios, the company has met with investment bankers, including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, to discuss the prospect of listing. While not yet confirmed, these discussions suggest the company may be preparing for a public market debut in the near future.
