Colby Covington is scheduled to face Khamzat Chimaev in a freestyle wrestling title match at Real American Freestyle (RAF) Abu Dhabi on 14 November, Yahoo Sports reports.

Covington, whose RAF record is 5-0, said on The Ariel Helwani Show that he expects to tire and defeat Chimaev, who is 3-0 in RAF. He criticised Chimaev’s cardio and past performances, calling him a “quitter”. Those remarks are Covington’s assessment ahead of the match.

Covington retired from mixed martial arts in May and has since focused on freestyle wrestling with RAF, according to Yahoo Sports. Chimaev’s RAF record includes wins over Dillon Danis, Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns.

Covington said he would prefer future matches to take place in the United States, but accepted the Abu Dhabi bout. He said his purpose there was to compete in wrestling, while adding he was prepared to defend himself if tensions escalated.
