Maresca addressed the speculation during a news conference on Friday, stating he does not believe City will finalise a deal for Fernandez on that specific day. However, he acknowledged that behind-the-scenes movements may continue as the club navigates its transfer strategy. The potential acquisition of Fernandez hinges on the outgoing movement of Rodri, who is reportedly seeking a return to Spain.
