Chase Home Loans has launched a three-week mortgage rate promotion, offering eligible borrowers discounts of up to 0.25 percentage points on new home purchase and refinance loans.

The offer runs from 14 September to 4 October 2026 and is open to new and existing Chase customers, subject to standard loan qualifications and state-specific terms. The promotion covers Chase’s home purchase and refinance programmes, including FHA loans.

The discount applies for the life of a fixed-rate mortgage and during the initial fixed-rate period of an adjustable-rate mortgage. Chase said the offer can be combined with other eligible offers, grants and discounts, with no discount points or fees tied to the rate reduction.

Borrowers must lock in their rate by 4 October. Some rate locks can run for up to 60 days, while Chase’s Lock and Shop programme provides up to 90 days and includes a float-down option if rates fall.

The promotion is the third return of Chase’s limited-time rate sale, first introduced just over a year ago. Mortgage rates have remained near 7% and are influenced by inflation, economic conditions, employment data, investor expectations and bond-market movements, according to Yahoo Finance, which reported the promotion.

Chase representatives said the housing market typically slows after the summer peak. An illustrative example cited by the lender showed that reducing a 30-year fixed mortgage rate from 6.75% to 6.50% on a $400,000 loan could cut monthly repayments by more than $65 and lifetime interest by over $23,800. Actual rates, savings and eligibility will vary by borrower, loan type and location.
