CBS Sports details multi-platform broadcast strategy for 108th PGA Championship
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy headline field as broadcaster outlines technical upgrades and scheduling across ESPN and Paramount+
CBS Sports has released the comprehensive broadcasting schedule and viewing guide for the 108th PGA Championship, set to take place at Aronimink Golf Club in May 2026. The broadcaster has outlined an extensive multi-platform coverage plan, distributing live streaming via ESPN+ and CBSSports.com, alongside television broadcasts on ESPN, ESPN2, CBS, and Paramount+.
The production effort, conducted in partnership with the PGA of America, represents a significant technological deployment for the event. CBS Sports will utilise 125 cameras and 150 microphones to capture the tournament, aiming to deliver real-time analytics and immersive visuals. This marks the 36th consecutive year that CBS Sports anchors Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman will lead the commentary team from the 18th tower.
Supporting the main broadcast is a roster of analysts including Frank Nobilo, Colt Knost, Andrew Catalon, Dottie Pepper, Mark Immelman, Johnson Wagner, and Amanda Balionis. The coverage structure varies by round, with Round 1 and Round 2 featuring live streaming on ESPN+ from 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Television coverage for these rounds begins at 12 p.m. on ESPN, with additional programming on ESPN2.
For the weekend rounds, the schedule shifts to include prime-time coverage on CBS from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., which requires a TV provider or Paramount+ Premium login. Early coverage on ESPN runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Encore coverage for both Rounds 3 and 4 is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. on CBS Sports Network, while scorecard segments titled "Live at Aronimink" will air on CBS Sports HQ, Paramount+, and the Golf on CBS YouTube channel.
The competitive field includes defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who enters the tournament seeking to return to the winner's circle after a season marked by runner-up finishes. Rory McIlroy is also positioned as a key contender, aiming to become the first golfer since 2015 to win the first two major championships of the year. Other notable players in the field include Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Cameron Young, and Matthew Fitzpatrick, with the top 100 golfers in the world set to compete.
