Caviar lists Messi-themed Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra at $13,130 ahead of Samsung launch

Luxury device customiser Caviar has listed a limited-edition, Lionel Messi-themed Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra for $13,130, nearly a week before the manufacturer’s official unveiling. The listing confirms the existence of an 'Ultra' variant of the upcoming Samsung flagship and indicates a base storage capacity of 256GB. Only 19 units of the custom device are available to buyers.

The custom device features handcrafted cloisonné enamel artwork depicting Messi in the traditional colours of the Argentinian national team, alongside 24-karat gold plating. The design includes a FIFA badge highlighting Argentina's 2022 World Cup victory, the official crest, and the Adidas logo. The phone is supplied in a custom royal blue box with additional gold plating and a custom Caviar Key.

Caviar states that production begins only after full payment, implying a significant lead time before delivery. The listing suggests Samsung will announce two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 8: the Ultra model, which appears similar in design to the Z Fold 7, and a new base model expected to feature a wider chassis.

The predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, launched at a retail price of approximately $2,000. If pricing for the new model follows a similar trajectory, Caviar's custom version potentially costs upwards of five times more than a standard retail version. The official pricing for the standard Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has not yet been announced by Samsung.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is currently underway, with Argentina having recently defeated Austria 2-0 in Arlington, Texas. Messi scored twice in that match, breaking the all-time scoring record in men's World Cup history with 17 goals.
