Brown secures All-NBA Second Team nod after record-breaking campaign
Jaylen Brown’s 2025-26 season statistics place him among the league’s elite, though he narrowly misses First Team honours behind a stacked field of contenders.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been named to the 2025-26 All-NBA Second Team, finishing sixth in the overall voting with 384 points. The selection follows a season described as "Most Valuable Player-level," yet Brown narrowly missed a First Team selection in a tightly contested field.
The voting results placed Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Denver Nuggets centre Nikola Jokic at the top, tied at 500 points. They were followed by San Antonio Spurs forward Victor Wembanyama with 499 points, Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic with 482 points, and Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham with 414 points. Brown’s teammate, Derrick White, received votes for the Third Team, earning just three points.
Brown’s 2025-26 campaign was defined by efficiency and volume. He averaged a career-high 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists across 71 games, all starts. He led the NBA in field goals made with 736, becoming the first Celtic to achieve this distinction, and ranked third in the league in total points with 2,038. This marks the eighth time a Celtic has scored 2,000 or more points in a single season.
The 29-year-old Cal alum became one of only two players in the league, and the third in franchise history, to average 28.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in a season. His consistency earned him three Eastern Conference Player of the Week honours and one Eastern Conference Player of the Month award for January.
This is Brown’s second career All-NBA Second Team selection, having previously earned the honour in 2022-23. Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard finished seventh in the voting with 277 points, trailing Brown by 107 points.
