Brighton reject £50m Liverpool bid for Yankuba Minteh

Minteh, a Gambia international, has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 73 appearances for Brighton. He joined the club from Newcastle for £30 million in 2024 and plays primarily on the right wing. Despite the substantial nature of the offer, Brighton have opted to hold firm on their valuation.
The player is currently recovering from a leg injury sustained in a friendly against Roma earlier this month. While the exact timeline for his return is not yet detailed, his fitness status is a factor in the current negotiations.
Liverpool will continue to test the market with a number of possibilities. They recently signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34 million earlier this summer. The Spanish midfielder can operate as a winger or through the middle, adding depth to Iraola’s options.
Paris St-Germain’s Bradley Barcola remains a priority target for Liverpool. The 23-year-old France winger is reportedly open to moving to Anfield, but the clubs are currently far apart on valuation. PSG are seeking a fee in the region of £145 million, while Liverpool are willing to pay closer to the £100 million mark.
