Boox unveils Note Air6C E Ink tablet with claimed 40 per cent faster PDF page turns
The Android 16 tablet starts at $580 and adds Google Play Store access, upgraded processing and a new refresh mode.
Boox has announced the Note Air6C, a 10.3-inch colour E Ink tablet running Android 16. The company says its upgraded processor and refresh mode improve PDF page-turning speed by nearly 40 per cent.
Boox says the processor can reach up to 2.9GHz, a 45 per cent increase over the Note Air5C. The updated refresh mode is also designed to improve scrolling, web browsing and apps with dynamic content, although the performance claims have not been independently verified in the supplied material.
The tablet includes access to the Google Play Store, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a microSD slot. It ships with a Pen3 stylus that does not require charging or pairing.
The display delivers 300PPI for black-and-white content and 150PPI for colour. Other features include an adjustable front light, dual speakers, a four-microphone array and a fingerprint sensor in the power button.
Engadget described the Note Air6C as a robust but iterative update to the Note Air5C. The base model is listed from $580, while a keyboard-cover bundle costs $690 and is discounted to $657 during the launch period. The supplied material does not specify the currency or regional availability.
