Use BetMGM bonus code CBSSPORTS to get $1,500 in bonus bets for Thunder-Spurs, Avalanche-Golden Knights Friday
New user promotion tied to SportsLine Projection Model picks for Thunder-Spurs, Avalanche-Golden Knights, and Royals-Mariners

BetMGM has introduced a promotional offer for new users, providing up to $1,500 in bonus bets for Friday’s sporting events. The campaign utilises the bonus code CBSSPORTS, which grants $150 in bonus bets if a user’s first wager wins, or up to $1,500 if the qualifying bet loses. The promotion is timed to coincide with high-profile matches in the NBA, NHL, and MLB playoffs.

The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every NHL game 10,000 times, has released specific probabilistic assessments for the featured matchups. The model enters the conference final round of the 2026 NHL playoffs with a +668 return on its top-rated money-line picks. For Friday’s slate, the model identifies value in taking road underdogs in both the NBA and NHL fixtures, while also backing the Kansas City Royals in MLB.

In the NBA playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder face the San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder, who hold the league’s best road record at 30-10, are 4-0 away this postseason and 9-1 overall. The model assigns the Thunder a 60% chance of winning Friday’s game. However, the team is managing injury concerns, with Jalen Williams reinjuring his hamstring in Game 2. The Spurs are also dealing with a setback, as rookie Dylan Harper, the No. 2 overall pick in last year’s draft, left a recent game with a leg injury.

The NHL series between the Colorado Avalanche and the Vegas Golden Knights features Game 2 in Vegas. The Golden Knights have won their last two road games this postseason by a combined score of 9-3. Although the Avalanche are projected to win the majority of simulations, the model suggests the Golden Knights offer value, winning in 41% of simulations compared to their implied odds of 38.46%.

In MLB, the Kansas City Royals face the Seattle Mariners. Seattle is starting pitcher Logan Gilbert, who has a 5.30 ERA in three May starts and recently allowed seven runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Padres. The Royals are starting Noah Cameron, who tossed 4 2/3 shutout innings in his one start against Seattle last season. The model projects Kansas City to win in 52% of simulations, creating value at plus-money odds.

Combining the three model recommendations into a Friday parlay at BetMGM would result in a payout of +1067, based on current odds. The promotion allows new users to claim the bonus code CBSSPORTS to access these betting opportunities across the featured sports.
