Berlin’s Peec AI doubles annualised revenue to $10 million, signalling European tech’s shift to profitability
The Berlin-based firm, which recently opened a New York office, has seen annualised revenue more than double since its Series A, drawing attention from investors who are prioritising tangible growth over inflated valuations.

Peec AI, a Berlin-based startup specialising in generative engine optimization, has reported that its annualised revenue has more than doubled to $10 million within a matter of months. The figure, verified by internal dashboard data seen by TechCrunch, marks a significant acceleration for the company, which raised a $21 million Series A funding round six months ago.
The startup, which helps brands track and improve their visibility in AI-driven search results, had generated over $4 million in revenue during its first 10 months of operation. The rapid growth trajectory has prompted Antler partner Christoph Klink to cite Peec AI as evidence of a broader cultural shift within the European tech ecosystem, where success is increasingly defined by revenue growth rather than high valuations.
Klink, speaking from Berlin, noted that the lessons learned from the market frothiness of 2021 have led investors to treat revenue as a primary metric rather than an afterthought. This new discipline is evident in Peec AI’s operational transparency; the company maintains real-time revenue dashboards visible to all employees, a practice more common in the US Bay Area than in Europe.
CEO Marius Meiners attributes this transparent financial tracking culture to his background as a former professional esports athlete who ranked in the top 100 for League of Legends. Meiners believes that clear, real-time performance metrics are essential for building a winning team, a philosophy that has extended to the company’s recruitment strategy.
In a competitive labour market, Peec AI has utilised billboards in Berlin, strategically placed near other tech companies, to signal growth and attract talent. The startup recently opened a new office in New York, further expanding its footprint as it capitalises on the emerging discipline of generative engine optimization.
