Austin rally from three goals down to draw with San Diego

Austin FC recovered from a 3-0 deficit to draw 3-3 with San Diego FC on Saturday night, extending its unbeaten run to eight matches.
San Diego took the lead five minutes into the second half through Aníbal Godoy. An own goal by Mikkel Desler in the 58th minute and Marcus Ingvartsen’s strike six minutes later made it 3-0.
Brandon Vázquez began Austin’s response in the 71st minute. Christian Ramírez scored in the 82nd minute, then equalised four minutes later to complete the comeback.
The result leaves Austin’s record across its last eight matches at three wins and five draws. San Diego finished September without a win in five matches, recording two draws and three losses.
Both teams were scheduled to play again on 10 October, with San Diego away to New York Red Bulls and Austin at home to Nashville SC, according to the Associated Press report carried by Yahoo Sports.
