Auburn football shortlisted for elite 2027 recruit Jabarrius Garror
The Tigers remain in contention for Garror and his teammate Isaac McNeil as head coach Alex Golesh strengthens the 2027 recruiting class.

Auburn football has been named to the final four schools for Jabarrius Garror, a four-star defensive end from Vigor High School in Mobile, Alabama. Garror, ranked as the No. 2 player in Alabama and No. 12 EDGE nationally in the 2027 class, plans to announce his commitment on July 4. He will choose between Auburn, Georgia, Texas, and Florida State.
Auburn also remains in contention for Garror’s teammate, linebacker Isaac McNeil. Garror recorded 106 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, and 21 sacks during the season. He averaged 7.1 tackles per game and added 18 hurries, while also catching two passes for 35 yards on offence.
The news was reported by Christian Clemente of 247Sports regarding Garror’s top four selection. Garror narrowed his list to four schools following an official visit over the weekend. Garror described his conversation with head coach Alex Golesh as "genuine" and "heartwarming," according to Jeffrey Lee of On3.
Auburn’s 2027 recruiting class previously secured the commitment of Nash Johnson III, marking the first cornerback commitment for the cycle. The Johnson commitment represents a strategic shift under head coach Alex Golesh, who intensified efforts after Johnson reopened his list, following an offer from the previous coaching staff in September 2025.
The 2027 Auburn recruiting class now has ten players committed. Garror’s potential arrival would bolster a unit that saw his Wolves finish the season with a 12-3 record. Auburn is hoping to add another talented defensive player from Vigor High School out of Mobile, Alabama.
