Persona 4 Revival gets an official release date for February 2027
Remake of the 2008 role-playing title set for Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Steam release

Atlus has officially confirmed that Persona 4 Revival will launch on 18 February 2027. The announcement was made during the Xbox Games Showcase, where the developer unveiled a two-minute trailer detailing gameplay mechanics, combat sequences and cinematic cutscenes. The title is scheduled for release on Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Steam, with no mention of a Nintendo Switch 2 port in the current briefing.

The remake, which transports players back to the quiet and mysterious town of Inaba, follows a teaser shown during last year’s Xbox Games Showcase. The latest reveal provides a more comprehensive look at the project, including a pre-order trailer that highlighted a revised voice acting cast. This change to the audio lineup has drawn commentary regarding potential reception from long-time fans of the original 2008 release.

The confirmation of the release date and platforms coincides with other significant announcements from the showcase. Atlus also confirmed the existence of Persona 6, marking the first all-new mainline entry in the franchise since 2017. Additionally, Microsoft locked in a February 23, 2027 release window for the new Fable role-playing game, developed by Playground Games.

Persona 4 Revival represents a significant update to the classic role-playing game, which originally established the series' deep narrative roots in the town of Inaba. The upcoming title aims to modernise the experience while retaining the core elements that defined the original, now set to arrive on major current-generation consoles and PC via Steam.

The detailed trailer has generated considerable interest among players who have awaited a solid launch window since the initial teaser. While the revised voice cast may divide opinion among purists, the release of concrete gameplay footage and a firm date has solidified the project's timeline for the coming year.
