Asus cuts $400 from flagship QD-OLED monitor ahead of new model launch

Asus has reduced the price of its 32-inch ROG Swift 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor by $400, bringing the cost down to $899.99 from its standard retail price of $1,299.99. The discount is currently active across major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, with the price reduction having been available for the majority of July.
The monitor utilises QD-OLED technology, which Asus notes provides inky black levels and vivid colours that exceed the capabilities of traditional LCD screens. It is equipped with a 240Hz refresh rate and G-Sync variable refresh rate technology, specifications that make it suitable for fast-paced gaming applications.
Industry reports suggest that Asus is aiming to clear stock of this current model to focus resources on a newer $1,299.99 unit featuring a Tandem QD-OLED display with slightly enhanced specifications. While the duration of the current price reduction remains uncertain, the move appears to be a strategic effort to move existing inventory ahead of the next generation product release.
Technical specifications for the discounted unit include a robust port selection featuring DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB-C connection capable of 90W charging power. The device also includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with three Type-A ports.
