Apple TV takes eight Primetime Emmys as Widow’s Bay leads wins
Widow’s Bay collected six Primetime Emmys, while Pluribus won two. Matthew Rhys secured lead-acting awards in two categories at the same ceremony.
Apple TV won eight Primetime Emmys at the 2026 awards, led by six wins for comedy-horror series Widow’s Bay and two for Pluribus, according to Engadget.
Widow’s Bay won comedy series, lead actor in a comedy series for Matthew Rhys, supporting actor for Stephen Root, supporting actress for Kate O’Flynn, comedy writing for Katie Dippold and comedy directing for Hiro Murai.
Pluribus received awards for lead actress in a drama series for Rhea Seehorn and drama writing for Vince Gilligan.
Engadget reported that Apple TV’s total for 2026 had reached 28 Emmys, including 20 Creative Arts awards won earlier. HBO won five Primetime Emmys and Netflix won three, with both platforms also receiving Creative Arts awards.
The Pitt won drama series and lead actor for Noah Wyle, while Hacks’ Jean Smart won lead actress in a comedy series. Rhys also won a lead acting award in the limited or anthology series category for Netflix’s The Beast in Me.
