Apple TV remained inaccessible on 1 October after an outage that began at 4:43 pm on 30 September, according to Engadget.

The iOS and Mac App Stores, Fitness+, Music, subscription purchases and AppleCare+ purchases were also affected, but were restored within a few hours, the report said. Engadget cited 9to5Mac’s account of Apple’s System Status page.

Apple’s notices said the services “may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance”. The notice did not confirm maintenance as the cause of the disruption.
