Amazon Prime Day sees discounts on Nintendo Switch 2 accessories ahead of September price hike
Brands including Belkin, 8BitDo, and Anker offer reduced rates on cases, controllers, and chargers as consumers prepare for the hardware’s cost increase.
Amazon’s Prime Day sale has introduced significant discounts on a wide array of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, including cases, controllers, chargers, and screen protectors. Major brands such as Belkin, 8BitDo, Samsung, Tomtoc, JSAUX, Anker, and EasySMX are featured in the promotion. This timing coincides with Nintendo’s scheduled $50 price increase for the console, which takes effect on 1 September, raising the starting price to $499.99.
The Verge’s technology editor Cameron Faulkner has reviewed many of the discounted items, noting their utility for the new hardware. The publication highlighted specific products such as the P9 microSD Express card, which offers sequential read speeds of up to 800MB/s, and screen protectors from amFilm and JSAUX. AmFilm’s offering includes a “OneTouch” installation tray, while JSAUX provides both glossy and matte options.
Carrying cases are also heavily discounted, with Tomtoc offering a hardshell model that fits up to 12 cartridges and includes a pocket for an AirTag. JSAUX has released a protective case that covers the front, rear, and Joy-Cons, with slots for 10 game cartridges. These options cater to the hybrid nature of the console, providing quality of life improvements for both on-the-go and at-home play.
Peripheral brands are offering alternatives to Nintendo’s own expensive accessories. The 8BitDo adapter allows for wireless pairing of PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo controllers via the dock. For streaming, The Verge suggested the Logitech 1080p webcam as a cost-effective substitute for the official Nintendo model. Power banks from Anker and Iniu feature high output speeds and built-in cables, designed for everyday carry.
Controller options range from the EasySMX S10, which features HD rumble and amiibo support, to models with TMR thumbsticks and floating D-pads. The Pro 3 controller offers swappable ABXY buttons and macro buttons, while a compact gamepad mimics the shape of the Switch 2 Pro Controller with drift-free sticks. An Ethernet adapter is also included in the deals to maintain download speeds in handheld mode.
