Amazon Prime Day discounts target Yoto’s screen-free audio hardware
The Yoto Player and Yoto Mini are among the discounted items, with starter bundles priced at $76, as the retailer seeks to capitalise on demand for non-digital entertainment options.

Amazon has initiated its annual Prime Day sales event, introducing significant discounts on Yoto’s suite of screen-free audio devices. The promotion covers the company’s flagship Yoto Player and the smaller Yoto Mini, alongside various starter bundles and third-party accessories. The move positions the retailer to capture market share in the children’s technology sector, where parents are increasingly seeking alternatives to screen-based entertainment.
Yoto devices operate on a distinct model from traditional digital streaming or CD players. The hardware utilises physical audio cards to deliver content, allowing users to select pre-made media or create custom mixtape-style cards. This mechanism has established Yoto as a notable competitor in the niche market, challenging established products such as the Tonie Box, which also saw discounts during the current sales period.
Pricing structures for the Prime Day offers have been standardised across key bundles. Both the 'little kids bundle' and the 'big kids bundle' are available at $76, representing a $19 reduction from standard pricing. The former includes the Yoto Mini paired with preschool songs and relaxing music cards, while the latter provides the device with five-minute stories and informative cards designed for older children.
The hardware design has drawn attention for its user interface, particularly regarding its dial controls. While subjective assessments from reviewers have highlighted the intuitive nature of these controls compared to the physical pressure mechanisms required by some competitors, the primary value proposition remains the device’s portability and its ability to function without a screen. This makes the units suitable for travel, including long drives and flights, where digital device management can be challenging for caregivers.
Beyond the core audio players, Amazon is offering discounts on a range of ancillary products. Third-party accessories, including protective cases, jackets, and card holders, are available at reduced prices. Yoto is also conducting a concurrent summer sale on its own website for cards and accessories, though the Amazon Prime Day event appears to offer a broader selection of third-party add-ons. The duration of these promotional prices has not been disclosed.
