This announcement follows a previous 2K camera lineup revealed by the company last autumn, further solidifying its position in the high-definition security market.
The most significant development in this release is the introduction of the Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+, which represents the brand's first wired-only doorbell that does not require a Sync Module hub. Listed at $49.99 on Amazon, though company documentation indicates a starting price of $39.99, the device offers a distinct advantage over previous iterations by removing the dependency on lithium AA batteries. This design choice allows for a smaller form factor and generally lower costs, positioning it as one of the most affordable 2K-capable buzzers currently available to consumers.
In contrast, the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ retains the traditional battery-powered design, priced at $69.99 for users who already possess a Sync Module.
