Amazon Luna's May lineup includes Guardians of the Galaxy and the Resident Evil 2 remake
The streaming service adds new titles to its Luna Standard library while continuing to pivot away from third-party sales.

Amazon has announced the addition of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, the Resident Evil 2 remake, and Alien: Isolation to the Luna Standard library for May. This update targets the service's core offering, which is available to all Amazon Prime subscribers through a rotating selection of titles. The inclusion of these games marks a continued effort by the tech giant to curate content within its streaming platform.

Beyond the headline additions, the Luna Standard library will also feature Middle Earth: Shadow of War, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga during the month. These titles join the existing collection of local multiplayer games, broadening the range of options available to users who do not wish to purchase individual games.

Prime members can also access a separate tier of benefits through redeemable codes for specific PC titles. The most notable of these for May is Mafia II: Definitive Edition, which is available for download from GOG. Other downloadable options include Fountain of Youth, 60 Minutes to Extinction: Escape Room, Lethal Honor: Order of the Apocalypse, and Pro Basketball Manager 2026, accessible via various partner game stores.

This expansion comes as Amazon continues to streamline the operational model of the service. In April, the company announced it would cease the sale of third-party subscriptions through Luna and stop selling individual games to stream. The shift represents a move away from the previous structure where users could purchase specific titles to access via the Luna app.

While existing users can still access their purchased games through partner stores, the changes have altered the landscape for those who relied on the service due to hardware limitations. The consolidation of the former Prime Gaming brand into Luna has further integrated these offerings, though the removal of direct game sales complicates access for some users.

The latest updates reflect Amazon's ongoing strategy to refine the Luna service as it evolves from a hybrid model into a more focused streaming and code-redemption platform. As the May lineup goes live, the focus remains on the curated standard library and the specific PC titles available through redemption codes.
