50th Memorial Tournament Set to Test PGA Tour Field at Muirfield Village
The 2026 Memorial Tournament returns to Dublin, Ohio, for its 50th edition, with broadcast coverage spanning multiple networks and streaming platforms.

The 2026 Memorial Tournament, marking its 50th edition, is scheduled to take place at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. As the penultimate signature event on the 2026 PGA Tour calendar, the tournament continues a long-standing tradition hosted by Jack Nicklaus since 1976. The event is widely regarded as one of the most challenging annual stops on the tour, drawing the game’s top players to conquer Nicklaus’s stern test of golf.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler enters the field with the aim of becoming the first player to win three consecutive titles since Tiger Woods achieved the feat between 1999 and 2001. Scheffler is currently seeking his second victory of the 2026 season, a milestone he notes is the latest he has waited for a win since 2021. His quest for a third straight title places significant pressure on the defending champion as he faces a deep and competitive field.
The roster includes a mix of past winners and current contenders. Past champions present in the field include two-time winner Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, Viktor Hovland, and Justin Rose. Among the notable contenders are Cameron Young, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Åberg, and Russell Henley, who claimed victory in the preceding week’s tournament.
Rory McIlroy remains a prominent figure in the field despite his historical struggles at the venue. McIlroy has never won the Memorial, recording only one top-10 finish in his last six starts at Muirfield Village. His participation highlights the difficulty of the course, which has historically posed a significant puzzle for even the most successful players on tour.
Broadcast coverage for the tournament will be extensive, ensuring broad accessibility for viewers. PGA Tour Live will provide coverage from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
