The article, originally posted on shkspr.mobi/blog and shared on Hacker News, outlines how the author and their wife managed to travel relatively lightly by relying on a single universal power brick to charge multiple devices.
The central piece of equipment was a compact unit featuring a high-wattage USB-C Power Delivery port designed for rapid charging of a smartphone and laptop. The device also included two additional USB-C ports for other gadgets, alongside legacy USB-A ports which the author noted were largely redundant. This setup allowed for pass-through charging, enabling the use of the same wall socket for the hotel’s television, lamp, or coffee maker without requiring additional adapters.
