Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
Developers confirm the release date following a recent leak, offering a standard digital version alongside a premium physical collector's package.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer has officially launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, marking the arrival of a new racing title set in the galaxy far, far away. Developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, the game was confirmed for release on 6 October, a date that had previously leaked last week before being formalised by the studios.
The narrative places players in the Outer Rim following the fall of the Galactic Empire, where an unsanctioned racing circuit has emerged. In the single-player campaign, users assume the role of a pilot named Shade, forming alliances and competing against rivals across three types of repulsorcraft, including podracers which can be customised. The online multiplayer component supports up to 11 players, allowing for large-scale battles in this post-Empire setting.
Pricing for the title varies depending on the chosen edition, with the standard version available for $60. The $80 deluxe edition expands on this by including three bonus vehicles, a trio of arcade events, a digital art book, and an upgrade path from the standard version. Pre-orders for the game grant additional digital content, specifically a vehicle livery and a multiplayer player banner background.
For collectors, a physical edition is available at $160, which encompasses all deluxe content plus tangible memorabilia. This package features a Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder model, a physical art book, two pilot patches, a custom slip cover, and a steel case. The inclusion of the landspeeder model distinguishes this tier as the most comprehensive offering for fans of the franchise.
The project was originally announced at The Game Awards in December by former developers of Burnout and Need for Speed. While the title was widely anticipated to be a racing game set in the Star Wars universe, the specific details regarding the post-Empire setting and the repulsorcraft mechanics have now been fully realised for the upcoming release.
