Samsung sets July 2026 Galaxy Unpacked for London launch
The South Korean electronics manufacturer has confirmed its next major product event will take place on July 22, 2026, in the United Kingdom, with live streaming available globally.
Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in London on July 22, 2026. The company will broadcast the presentation live at 9 AM ET (6 AM PT) via its official website and YouTube channel. This follows the earlier announcement of the Galaxy S26 lineup earlier in the year, signalling a strategic pivot in this event’s focus toward foldable devices and wearable technology.
Industry speculation suggests the headline announcement will be the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Reports indicate the device may adopt a new “wide” aspect ratio, resembling a passport shape to optimise the screen for video consumption. This design shift reportedly mirrors concepts previously associated with Apple’s own foldable efforts. The Z Fold 8 lineup is expected to include the standard model, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, and a potential “Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra,” which may retain the current Z Fold 7 aspect ratio.
All three anticipated foldable models are expected to be powered by updated Snapdragon processors. The Ultra variant is rumoured to feature faster wireless charging capabilities and a reduced display crease. While specific pricing and colour options remain unconfirmed, the devices are expected to reflect market trends influenced by recent RAM upgrades and component costs.
In the wearable sector, Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Leaked specifications published by tech tipster Evan Blass suggest the Ultra 2 will be thinner and brighter than its predecessor, driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite chip. The device is also reported to house an 800mAh battery, a significant increase over previous iterations, although Samsung has not yet officially verified these technical details.
Beyond phones and watches, the event may provide further insight into Samsung’s collaboration with Google, Warby Parker, and Gentle Monster on smartglasses. Google previously demonstrated the technology at its I/O 2026 conference, but commercial availability is not expected until the autumn.
