Pokémon Champions expands to mobile with cross-platform play and launch incentives
The mobile release of Pokémon Champions introduces full cross-platform functionality, allowing players to transfer save data from Nintendo consoles and import creatures via Pokémon Home.

Pokémon Champions, a battle-focused title that originally debuted on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in April, is set to launch on iOS and Android on June 17. The mobile expansion brings the game to a broader audience while maintaining continuity for existing players through full cross-platform support.
Users who have previously engaged with the title on Nintendo consoles can transfer their save data to the mobile version. This process requires linking the game to the same Nintendo account used on the console, ensuring that progress, stats, and unlocked content carry over seamlessly to the new platform.
The game operates in the style of Pokémon Stadium, featuring ranked battles, casual modes, private lobbies, and online competitions. Players can recruit Pokémon directly within Champions or import creatures from previous titles and Pokémon Go using the Pokémon Home service.
In-game progression is driven by victory points, which can be utilised to boost Pokémon stats, alter move sets, and unlock cosmetic items. The mobile release supports these mechanics alongside the existing console infrastructure, allowing for unified online competition across devices.
To coincide with the mobile debut, players who log in between June 16 and September 1 will receive a complimentary Raichu and two mega stones. These items facilitate the evolution of the Pokémon into Mega Raichu Y or Mega Raichu X, providing a temporary incentive for early adoption of the mobile version.
The launch marks a significant shift in accessibility for the franchise, bridging the gap between dedicated gaming hardware and portable mobile devices. As the June 17 release date approaches, attention will likely focus on how the cross-platform ecosystem integrates with the broader Pokémon network.
